Spicing Up Spring Pastels

Spring pastel colors are notoriously not my fav. While everyone else is breaking out their dusty rose, pale yellow, and lilac dresses, I stick with my go-to neutrals.

But there’s a new color on the runways this spring that had even this pastel-resistant girl take notice: mint green. This soft, muted shade is universally flattering and goes with almost everything.

Check out my look below for inspiration on how to spice up spring pastel colors!

How to Wear Mint Green

This soft ribbed-knit tank from Tom Ford is the exact shade I’m talking about! It’s classic, casual, and super comfortable.

I’ve styled it here with wide-leg jeans (another major trend right now) and neutral accessories.

Accessorize Your Pastels

If you’re going to wear a pastel look, stick with neutral accessories. Too many colors can be distracting and you don’t want to wind up looking like an easter egg. These white leather pumps from Loewe will add elegance to any pastel ensemble.

I also love these rectangular Prada shades. They’re perfect for sunny spring days, and add a bit of edginess to this otherwise sweet pastel look.

Ease Your Way into Spring

If you’re not in a pastel mood yet, start with accessories. These patent leather pumps from Valentino Garavani are a great way to dip your toe into the mint green trend. The block heels have a fun retro flair, while the gold buckles add a hint of luxury.

Or how about this pastel blue bag from Bottega Veneta? This serene sky blue has also been popular on the runways lately.

Whether you go with blue, green, or another shade entirely, look for ways to make spring pastel colors your own this season. I’m proof that there’s a spring color out there for everyone!
