There’s something so dreamy about ski vacations: the fresh air, snow-capped mountains, and winter wonderland scenery…
But if you’re like me, you may prefer to enjoy those mountain views from the comfort of the indoors—preferably with a nice glass of wine by the fire. Whether you’re hitting the slopes or staying warm and cozy at the resort, arguably the best part about a ski vacation is the après-ski.
And just because you’re not a skier doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the after-party! If you’re headed to the ski hills this winter, here’s what to pack:
Snow-Ready Gear
Even if you don’t plan on being outdoors for long, you’ll still want to pack plenty of warm layers. Opt for faux fur, thick leather, and trendy snow boots (the last thing you want to be doing is trekking through the snow in open flats or heels).
An extra layer of knitwear beneath your coat will keep you insulated in colder climates. My favorite is cashmere, paired with a leather or shearling jacket for added warmth.
This fringed cashmere cardigan from Alanui is the perfect blend of cozy and chic.
Choose the Right Accessories
Don’t forget to pack a pair of shades for outdoor parties. All that white snow can be just as bright as the sun!
For footwear, I love this pair of Roman stud ankle boots from Valentino Garavani. They’re simple and comfortable, but the stud at the back adds a fun touch to any apres-ski party outfit.
Cozy Winter Brands
This ribbed maxi dress from SKIMS is super soft and versatile—an apres ski party outfit that will carry you from coffee to cocktail hour.
Two of my other favorite brands to shop for winter gear are Toteme and Khaite.
These apres ski party outfit ideas will help you live your winter vacation dreams…regardless of whether you actually hit the slopes. At least you’ll look the part!
